ONLINE LEARNING PLATFORM
UX/UI DESIGN CASE STUDY
CHALLENGE:
Create a platform that offered online courses in artistic areas, allowing users to connect easily.
PROBLEM:
Issues related to student interest in online courses can be challenging due to limited feedback and motivation for remote and non-live classes.

DESK RESEARCH
USER INTERVIEWS
To gain deeper insights, I conducted 10 user interviews with potential learners, focusing on individuals who regularly engage in online courses. These interviews aimed to uncover users' motivations, pain points, and expectations from an online learning platform.
I explored their learning habits, the types of courses they prefer, and the features they find most valuable, providing a rich understanding of their needs and frustrations
Why do you take an online course? Professional reasons or hobby?
INSIGHTS
Gain knowledge to change career
Describe any challenges or frustrations you've experienced with online learning platforms. How about the positive points?
INSIGHTS
Too many options, difficult to choose / Lack of interaction, felt lost and lose interest / certificates validation
Work/life balance / time and location flexibity
How do you prefer to interact with content and tutors? Do you value features like direct messaging, live sessions, or peer interaction?
INSIGHTS
Live sessions and direct messages
INTERVIEW QUESTIONS
I started by doing desk research to understand the landscape of online learning platforms. This involved analyzing competitors, reviewing industry trends, and studying user behavior and preferences.
I focused on identifying key challenges faced by users, common features of successful platforms, and gaps in the market that could be addressed in the design.

WIREFRAMES
Designing the wireframes was a crucial step in the process, as it provided a clear visual representation of the layout's features and functions to ensure they met the project's requirements. The wireframes were created for both mobile and desktop platforms.
PROTOTYPE
To design the wireframes, I went through the ideation process, which included brainstorming sessions, creating "How might we" questions, sketching initial concepts, and refining ideas based on user needs and pain points identified during research. This process also involved developing a sitemap and user flows to ensure the wireframes were user-centered and aligned with the goals for an intuitive and effective user experience.

USER PERSONA
Creating a user persona was essential as it grounds the design in the real needs and behaviors of the target audience.
Based on user interviews and research, I developed a persona to guide my design decisions, helping to solve pain points through targeted design solutions.
